Rolling Puppet Alternative Theatre collaborates with renowned Chinese playwright and artistic director of the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, Nick Rongjun YU, to create his first play for younger audiences. Nick also worked alongside his younger son, Godot Chengxun YU, in the creation of this work.
This production blends the unique theatrical forms of puppetry and imagery, while also incorporating the OTTOsonic immersive sound system, making it the first of its kind in Asian theatre. By experimenting with the sound and visual elements within the story, it opens up a brand new experience for audiences, creating greater possibilities for theatrical effects. The premiere in Macau will serve as a starting point for further cross-regional collaborations.
