ENSEMBLES

The Varisty Chamber Choir at San Marcos High School is the top advanced choir in the San Marcos High School choir program. Varsity Chamber rehearses during 7th period and meets occasionally for after-school rehearsals. Comprised of 10-12th graders, this varsity ensemble performs high quality literature and focuses on refinement of advanced musical skills. Members perform frequently throughout the year and participate in the UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest. In addition, members in this ensemble are highly encouraged to participate in region choir auditions/concerts, solo contest, and private lessons. Membership into this ensemble is by audition only. 

The Varsity Treble Choir at San Marcos High School is the advanced level treble choir in the San Marcos High School Choir program. Varsity Treble rehearses during 3rd period each day and meets occasionally for after-school rehearsals. Comprised of , this varsity ensemble performs high quality literature and focuses on refinement of fundamental and advanced musical skills. Members perform frequently throughout the year and participate in the UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest. In addition, members in this ensemble are encouraged to participate in region choir auditions/concerts, solo contest, and private lessons. Membership into this ensemble is by audition only.

The Varsity Tenor/Bass Choir at San Marcos High School is the advanced level tenor/bass choir in the San Marcos High School program. Varsity Tenor/bass rehearses during 6th period each day and meets occasionally for after-school rehearsals. The Junior Varsity Treble Choir at San Marcos High School is the intermediate/entry level treble choir in the San Marcos High School program. JVr Treble ehearses during 2nd period each day and meets occasionally for after-school rehearsals. Comprised of all grade levels, this non-varsity ensemble performs high quality literature and focuses on refinement and learning of fundamental musical skills. Members perform frequently throughout the year and participate in the UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest. In addition, members in this ensemble are encouraged to participate in region choir auditions/concerts, solo contest, and private lessons.
