CHOICES has been awarded £10,799.92 from the European Social Fund Scheme. This grant is for CVS's "Hope Filly" project which will start in September 2012. This project is for people over 18 years of age, unemployed or those in part time work who would benefit from confidence building and communication skills.
From CVS: "Equine Assisted Learning is experiential; this means participants learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses, then processing thoughts, beliefs, behaviours and patterns. This is a 6 week course, 10am-2pm once a week; we will run three courses between September 2012 and March 2013. Tamworth CVS are currently interviewing for participants, there will be a maximum of 8 per group. Referrals can be made via agencies, we also welcome self referrals.
