In high school, I was involved in our student government called ASB (Associated Student Body) for three years and was a part of my class cabinet for one year. I am looking forward to using my experience from high school during my term as First Year Senator and can't wait to accomplish all of my goals outlined on the home page. If you look below, you can learn more about what I did for my school and hopefully learn more about me!
I focused on student activities and helped create fun and inclusive lunchtime events for every student on campus to enjoy. To name a few, I planned the annual Halloween Costume Contest, Winter Student Dodgeball game, and many more.
During my Junior year, I was in charge of the International Student Union (ISU for short) and my goal was to help my school become more culturally aware through fun activities and assemblies. With my co-chair, I planned our International Week which involved a cultural assembly. Students of unique backgrounds performed anything from a dance to a play and we succeeded in the goal of appreciating different cultures. I also served on the Junior Class Cabinet.
Lastly, during my senior year of high school I served as ASB Treasurer and ran my leadership class with my cabinet. As Treasurer, I was in charge of counting all the money that went in and out of my school as well as working with the business officer to keep track of the budget. Within the leadership class, I helped guide the members of my commission in planning their various activities and making the school much more spirited than in previous years.
