Systematic Control Design for a Half-Bridge Single-Phase Inverter Using LMI-Based Approach
We are delighted to announce that our student's paper, "Systematic Control Design for a Half-Bridge Single-Phase Inverter Using LMI-Based Approach," received the Best Paper Award at GTSD 2026.
This work introduces a systematic control design methodology that formulates controller synthesis as an LMI optimization problem, removing the need for manual tuning while guaranteeing closed-loop stability. The proposed controller integrates state-feedback, integral action, and a digital all-pass filter to achieve precise voltage regulation and zero steady-state error in a half-bridge single-phase inverter.
The proposed approach delivers fast transient response, stable operation, and high-quality sinusoidal output voltage, demonstrating its potential for reliable and efficient power conversion in low- and medium-power applications.
