Week of May 7th: This week, we began by creating the website that would be used to show our progress in the creation of our app as well as explain to people what our app is meant to accomplish.
Week of May 14th: We were able to get the TCP server code written, and up and running successfully. A mock up design for the app was created, and we have begun to write a basic app that will allow us to connect to the server with end to end encryption.
Week of May 21st: This week, we made progress with the User Interface of the app. We were able to make the startup screen look much more user friendly. We also were able to add in the button that allows the user to join a chat room of their choice.
Week of May 28th: This week, we were able to make progress with the NFC connection, and added more design to the user interface. Also, progress was made with the local chatrooms using GPS and IP location indexing.
Week of June 4th: The NFC feature is now able to access a chatroom from scanning the NFC tag.
Week of June 11th: Wrapped up final changes, continued improvement of UI, addition NFC feature within chat room in order to be able to write chatroom to NFC; notifications outside of app for when message is received.
