May 2024: We are delighted to announce the publication of a collaborative review titled 'Comprehensive Strategies for Synthesizing Ene-Yne Derivatives' in the esteemed SYNTHESIS journal. We sincerely congratulate all the authors involved in this review paper. 

April 2024: I am happy to inform you that Rina's first manuscript on Organic Letters has been successfully published. We extend our warmest congratulations to Rina for your significant contribution.

April 2024: I am pleased to announce that Rahul & Nagaraju's first research manuscript on Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis has been successfully published. We extend our warmest congratulations to Rahul and Nararaju for their exceptional work. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the field of catalysis. We look forward to seeing their continued success in this area of study. 

April 2024: We devised an efficient, facile method for C–H/N-H Methylation utilizing (para)formaldehyde as a C1 source and a combination of hydrosilane with HFIP. December 2023: Dr. Chinmoy Hazra received a Sponsored Grant (Approved grant: Rs. 47,84,835/-) from the Core Research Grant  (SERB), Govt. of India.

Nov. 2023: I am pleased to share that our latest paper titled "Sustainable Sulphonic Acid Functionalized Mesoporous Silica Heterogeneous Catalysis for Selective Unsymmetrical Friedel-Crafts Alkylation in One-pot" was accepted in the Journal of the American Chemical Society-Au (JACS Au). This is my first independent paper in JACS Au. This was possible only because of my sincere students, especially Sanjay. Also, thanks to our collaborators, Amit and Prof. Leena Nebhani. Many Congratulations to All of them.

August 2023: Congrats to my MSc student, Mr. Sagar Bhowmick (Entry no. 2021CYS7049), for winning the JAGAT RAM CHOPRA award! This prestigious award recognizes the best M.Sc. project demonstrating a process/equipment device/software in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. The award is valued at Rs. 15,000/-. July 2023: Another Indian patent was filed on July 28 on ''PRACTICAL, SCALABLE, AND TRANSITION METAL-FREE REDUCTIVE FRIEDEL-CRAFTS REACTION: EFFICIENT SYNTHESIS OF ANAESTHETIC DRUGS''. Congratulations, Jabir and Naveen, for your recent development on Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

March 2023: Our first Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis paper is now online. Congratulations to Aparna, Dr. Taneja, and Jabir for their valuable contributions!

March 2023: I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to share that our latest paper titled "Practical Access to meta-Substituted Anilines by Amination of  Quinone Imine Ketals Derived from Anisidines: Efficient Synthesis of  Anti-Psychotic Drugs" has been published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition (Impact factor 16.82!). This is my group's first independent paper in one of the topmost journals in our field, and I couldn’t have been prouder. This feat has been possible only because of my hardworking, motivated and sincere students, especially Mr. Naveen and Dr. Neha, who are the joint first authors of this paper. Also, thanks to our collaborator, Dr. Dulal Musib, for the DFT studies. Many Congratulations to All of them.

Jan. 2023: Our first groundbreaking work on ccoperative Friedel-Crafts alkylation of Electron-Deficient arenes via catalyst activation with hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP), Chemistry–A European Journal! Jan. 2023:  Prof. Hazra has been selected as one of the Thieme Chemistry Journals Awardees 2023. Prof. Hazra is one of the 86 young investigators worldwide selected by the editors of SYNTHESIS, SYNLETT, SYNFACTS, SynOpen and Organic Materials, and Thieme for significant contributions to the field of Chemistry.
