Panda

Baby panda,

Walks with while swaying.

   翻  个  跟  斗，

Does a somersault

 ràng nǐ qiáo qiáo

    让   你   瞧  瞧。

to show off.

xióng māo bǎo bǎo 

  熊    猫    宝   宝，

Baby panda,

 yuán tóu yuán nǎo

     圆   头   圆   脑。

Round head.

 chī bǎo zhú zi

     吃  饱  竹  子，

Gets full with bamboo,

 guāi guāi shuì jué

     乖   乖   睡   觉。

 Sleeps well.

xiǎo páng xiè 

小    螃   蟹

Little Crab

   xiǎo páng xiè      pí  qi  dà 

        小    螃   蟹，  脾  气 大，

Little Crab, with a bad temper,

  bù  zhí   zǒu    héng zhuó pá  

  不   直   走，   横   着   爬，

doesn't walk straight, crawls sideways,

       āi yā yā      bù xiàng huà  

       哎 呀 呀， 不    像   话。

     Oh my, that's outrageous.

 8.

xiǎo mǎ yǐ 

小蚂蚁

Little Ants

 xiǎo mǎ yǐ  zhēn yǒu qù 

    小  蚂  蚁，真  有 趣，

Little ants, so interesting,

 jiàn miàn pèng pèng xiǎo xū xū 

   见   面    碰    碰    小    须    须。

When we meet, we bump our little whiskers.

 nǐ pèng wǒ     wǒ pèng nǐ

    你   碰  我， 我   碰  你，

You touch me, I touch you,

 gào sù yí gè hǎo xiāo xī 

   告  诉  一  个  好  消  息！

Tell me good news!

 kuài kuài lái   kuài kuài lái

Swimming around to find his mother,

Mom, Mom, where are you?

Come on, come on, here I come,

   来 了一只 大 青 蛙。

Here comes a big frog.

Dà gōng jī

大   公  鸡

Big Rooster

Dà gōng jī   chuān huā yī,

大   公  鸡，穿 花   衣，

Big rooster, wearing floral clothes,

huā yī zàng   zì  jǐ xǐ.

 花  衣  脏，自  己  洗。

Washes its clothes itself, if they are dirty.

Bù yòng féi zào bù yòng shuǐ,

不    用    肥    皂    不    用   水，

No soap, no water,

pū léng pū léng yòng shā  zǐ.

 扑    楞    扑   楞   用  沙   子。

Uses sand to flutter.

wǒ qǐ lái le

我 起 来 了

I'm up.

tiān liàng le

      天   亮   了，

It’s morning,

wǒ qǐ lái le

 我 起 来 了,

I'm up,

tài yáng yě qǐ lái le

    太  阳 也 起 来 了。

The sun is up, too.

wǒ qǐ dé zǎo

    我 起 得 早，

I get up early,

tài yáng yě qǐ dé zǎo

 太  阳 也 起 得 早。

The sun gets up early, too.

wǒ tiān tiān zǎo qǐ

    我  天   天  早 起，

I get up early every day,

tài yáng yě tiān tiān zǎo qǐ

   太   阳   也  天  天  早  起。

The sun gets up early every day, too.

2.

zǎo qǐ

 早  起

Getting up early

 wǒ men yī jiā rén

     我  们  一  家  人，

Among our family,

mā mā qǐ dé zuì zǎo

    妈  妈  起  得  最  早。

Mom gets up the earliest.

tā qǐ lái le 

    她 起 来 了，

When she gets up,

jiù máng zhe dǎ sǎo

   就   忙   着   打   扫，

She is busy cleaning.

wǒ men jiā hěn gān jìng

   我   们   家   很   干   净，

Our house is very clean,

shì mā mā de gōng láo

    是   妈   妈   的   功   劳。

thanks to Mom.

bà ba yě qǐ dé zǎo

  爸 爸 也 起 得 早，

Dad also gets up early

tā qǐ lái le

     他 起 来 了，

When he gets up,

xiān dào yáng tái qù jiāo huā.

   先    到    阳    台    去    浇   花。

He goes to the balcony to water the flowers.

wǒ men jiā de huā zhǎng dé hǎo,

   我   们    家    的    花    长   得  好，

The flowers in our house grow well,

shì bà ba de gōng láo

   是  爸  爸  的  功  劳。

Thanks to Dad.

wǒ yě qǐ dé zǎo

  我 也 起 得 早，

I also get up early.

wǒ qǐ lái le

     我 起 来 了，

I get up,

shuā yá xǐ liǎn yī chuān hǎo,

   刷   牙   洗   脸   衣   穿   好，

brush my teeth, wash my face, and get dressed.

zì jǐ de shì qíng zì jǐ zuò

   自  己  的  事  情  自 己 做，

I do my own things.

dà jiā dōu kuā wǒ běn lǐng gāo

  大   家   都   夸   我   本   领   高。

Everyone praises me for my skills.

吃 饭

Have a Meal

 bái bái mǐ fàn

     白  白  米  饭，

White Rice

dòu fu jī dàn

    豆  腐  鸡 蛋。

Tofu and Eggs.

qīng cài ròu tāng

  青    菜   肉   汤,

Vegetable and Meat soup,

pèn xiāng pèn xiāng

   喷    香    喷    香。

Fragrant.

Shù kǒu

漱 口

Rinsing Your Mouth 

Shǒu ná huāhuā bēi,

   手  拿  花  花  杯，

Holding a floral-patterned cup in hand,

hē kǒu qīng qīng shuǐ,

喝  口  清  清  水，

Drinking some clear water,

tái qǐ tóu, bì zhe zuǐ,

 抬 起 头，闭 着 嘴，

Lifting your head and closing your mouth,

gū lū gū lū tǔ chū shuǐ.

咕 噜 咕 噜 吐 出 水。

Spitting out water with the gulu-gulu sound.

5.

Xǐ shǒu

洗   手

Handwashing

 Huā huā liúshuǐ qīng yòu qīng

 哗   哗   流   水   清   又   清，

The rushing water is very clear,

Xǐ xǐ xiǎoshǒu jiǎng wèishēng

洗   洗   小   手   讲   卫   生。

Wash your hands and practice hygiene.

Shēn chū xiǎoshǒu bǐ yī bǐ

   伸   出   小   手   比   一   比，

Show your little hand to compare,

Kàn shéi xǐ dé zuì gānjìng

 看  谁 洗  得  最  干  净。

See who can be the cleanest.

6.

Māmā nǐ bié shuō wǒ xiǎo

妈妈你别说我小

Mom, don't say I'm little

Māmā nǐ bié shuō wǒ xiǎo

 妈妈你别说我小，

Mom, don't say I'm little

Wǒ huì chuān yī hé xǐzǎo

我会穿衣和洗澡。

I can dress and bathe.

Bàba nǐ bié shuō wǒ xiǎo

   爸爸你别说我小，

Dad, don't say I'm little.

Wǒ huì chànggē bǎ wǔ tiào

 我会唱歌把舞跳。

I can sing and dance.

画   画

Drawing

      Wǒ shì yīgè xiǎo huàjiā

我 是 一 个 小 画 家，

I am a little artist.

Shénme dōngxī dūhuì huà.

什么东西都会画。

I can draw anything.

  Huà zhǐ yāzǐ gāgā jiào

  画 只 鸭 子 嘎 嘎 叫，

Draw a duck quacking,

      Huà gè wáwá hāhā hā

 画 个 娃 娃 哈 哈 哈。

Draw a baby laughing hahaha,

        Huà zhǐ qīngwā guāguā gū

  画  只  青  蛙  呱  呱  呱，

Draw a frog croaking,

Sòng gěi bàba hé māmā

   送 给 爸  爸  和 妈 妈。

For mom and dad.

Zuò yóuxì

做游戏

Playing Games

     Lǎogōnggōng, chūláile

老公公，出来了，

Old man, came out,

Bái húzǐ, bái méimáo

白胡子，白眉毛，

White beard, white eyebrows,

Diǎndiǎn tóu, wān wān yāo

  点点头，弯弯腰，

Nodded, bended down,

     Jiǎo yī huá, shuāi yī jiāo

 脚一滑，摔一跤，

Lost his balance, fell down,

        Yī mú húzǐ diào xiàlái

 一模胡子掉下来，

A beard fell off,

Dòu dé dàjiā hāhā xiào

   逗得大家哈哈笑。

Made everyone laugh.

Jī mù

积 木

Building Blocks

  Jīmù kuān, jīmù zhǎng,

积木宽，积木长，

The blocks are wide, the blocks are long,

Wǒ yòng jīmù gài lóufáng

我用积木盖楼房。

I build houses with blocks.

  Shūshu āyí zhù jìnqù,

叔叔阿姨住进去，

Uncle and aunt move in,

Dōu shuō fángzǐ zhēn piàoliang

都说房子真漂亮。

Everyone says the house is really beautiful.

Jīmù fāng, jīmù yuán,

积木方，积木圆，

Blocks are square, blocks are round,

Wǒ yòng jīmù gài huāyuán

我用积木盖花园。

I build a garden with blocks,

  Táo shù lǐ shù píngguǒ shù

桃树李树苹果树，

Peach trees, plum trees, apple trees,

Jié de shuǐguǒ xiāng yòu tián.

结的水果香又甜。

Their fruits are fragrant and sweet.

Shuìjiào

睡 觉

Sleep

Xiǎopéngyǒu, zài shuìjiào,

小朋友，在睡觉，

A child is sleeping,

Xiǎohuā māo, dǒng lǐmào,

小花猫，懂礼貌，

Little cat, polite,

  Bù chǎo bù jiào yě bù nào,

不吵不叫也不闹，

No noise, no shouting, no fussing,

Jìn wū shéi yě bù zhīdào.

进屋谁也不知道。

No one knows when it enters the house.

第三篇

(Unit Three)

1.

Māmā zǎo

妈妈早

Good morning, mom！

Māmā zǎo

妈妈早

Good morning, mom！

Māmā nǐ zhēn hǎo,

妈妈你真好，

Mom, you are so nice,

 Wǒ de hǎo māmā,

我的好妈妈，

My good mother,

Tiāntiān qǐ dé zǎo.

天天起得早。

Get up early every day.

 Māmā zǎo

妈妈早

Good morning, mom！

Māmā nǐ zhēn hǎo,

妈妈你真好，

Mom, you are so nice,

 Wǒ de hǎo māmā,

我的好妈妈，

My good mother,

Shéi yě bǐ bùliǎo.

谁也比不了。

No one can compare.

我 和 爸爸

Dad and Me

Shàng bān le,

  上 班 了，

(Dad) was going to work,

Wǒ duì bàba xiào,

我 对 爸爸 笑，

I smiled at my dad,

爸爸呢，

How was my Dad,

Gōngzuò dé gèng hǎo.

工作得更好。

(He) worked better.

Xiàbānle,

下班了，

(Dad) came back from work,

Wǒ duì bàba xiào,

I smiled at my dad,

爸爸呢，

How was my Dad,

Wàngle yītiān de píláo.

忘了一天的疲劳。

Forgot the fatigue of the day.

Back Massage

Wǒ de yéyé qīshí suì,,

  我的爷爷七十岁，

My grandfather is seventy years old,

Huābái de húzǐ xiào wéiwéi,

花白的胡子笑微微，

with gray beard and smiles,

                                                                                                                          Yéyéyé yé nín zuò xià,

爷爷爷爷您坐下，

Grandpa, please sit down,

Wǒ lái gěi nín chuí chuí bèi.

我来给您捶捶背。

Let me give you a back massage.

 Wàipó qiáo

外婆桥

Grandma Bridge

Yáo a yáo, yáo a yáo,

  摇啊摇，摇啊摇，

Row, Row, Row, Row,

Yáo dào wàipó qiáo,

摇到外婆桥。

Row to Grandma's Bridge.        

Wàipó qǐng wǒ chī niángāo,

外婆请我吃年糕。

My grandma treated me with rice cake,

Táng yī bāo, guǒ yī bāo,

糖一包，果一包，

(And,) a bag of candies, a bag of nuts,

Wǒ shì wàipó de hǎo bǎobǎo.

我是外婆的好宝宝。

I am my grandma's good baby.

   Hǎo háizǐ

好孩子

Good Boy

Nǎinai cā zhuōzǐ,

  奶奶擦桌子，

Grandma wipes the table,

Bàba cā yǐzǐ,

爸爸擦椅子，

Dad wipes the chairs,  

Māmā cā dì fàn,

妈妈擦地板，

Mom mops the floor,

Shēnbiān gēnzhe yīgè hǎo háizi.

  身边跟着个好孩子。

With a good boy by their side.

Hǎo háizǐ, juǎn xiùzi,

好孩子，卷袖子，

Good boy, roll up your sleeves，    

Bāngzhù māmā sǎo wūzi,

帮助妈妈扫屋子，

Help mom clean the house,    

Máng dé mǎn tóu hàn zhūzi.

忙得满头汗珠子。

So busy that he was sweating.

Gēnzhe jiějiě zǒu

跟着姐姐走

Follow My Sister

Nǎinai cā zhuōzǐ,

 姐姐走，我也走，

I followed my sister and walked on the street,

Wǒ hé jiě jiě shǒu lāshǒu.

我和姐姐手拉手。

My sister and I held hands.

hǒu lāshǒu, màn man zǒu,

 手拉手，慢慢走，

Hand in hand, walk slowly,

Yī zǒu zǒu dào mǎ lùkǒu.

一走走到马路口。

Walk to the intersection. 

 Kànjiàn hóng dēng tíng yī tíng,

 看见红灯停一停，

Stop at a red light.

Bàba cā yǐzǐ,

看见绿灯向前走。

When we see the green light, we go forward.

6.

布娃娃

Ragdoll

   Wǒ yǒu yīgè bù wáwá,

 我有一个布娃娃，

I had a rag doll,

Yuán yuán de liǎndàn hóng zuǐbā.

圆圆的脸蛋红嘴巴。

Round face and red mouth.

 Bù chīfàn, bù hē chá,

不吃饭，不喝茶，

No meals, no tea,

Bù huì shuōhuà bù huì pá.

不会说话不会爬。

Couldn’t speak or crawl.

 Āyí gěi táng tā bùyào,

 阿姨给糖她不要，

Auntie gave her candy but she didn’t want it.

Zuò zài yībiān xiào hāhā.

坐在一边笑哈哈。

Sat and laughed loudly.

Bàba cā yǐzǐ,

8.

Wǒ lái la

我来啦

I Am Coming

Tiān shàngxià yǔ dìshàng huá,

 天上下雨地上滑，

It's raining and the ground is slippery,

Dìdì diédǎo wǒ lái la.

弟弟跌倒我来啦。

(My) brother fell and I came (to help).

Tì tā cā cā shǒu,

 替他擦擦手，

Wipe his hands for him,

Bǎ tā sòng huí jiā.

把他送回家。

Send him home.

Xiǎo máochóng de yáolán shì shùyè,

小毛虫的摇篮是树叶，

The cradle of the little caterpillar is the leaf.

Zhù zài huābàn shàng de shì húdié.

住在花瓣上的是蝴蝶。

The butterfly lives on the petals.

Xiǎohé lǐ, zhùzhe yú hé xiā.

小河里，住着鱼和虾。

There are fish and shrimps living in the stream.

Dà shù shàng, shì xiǎo niǎo de jiā.

大树上，是小鸟的家。

The big tree is the home of the little birds.

   Kělián de fēng méiyǒu jiā,

可怜的风没有家，

Poor wind has no home,

Dōng pǎo xī pǎo,

东跑西跑，

Running around here and there,

Zhǎo bù dào dìfāng xiūxí yīxià.

找不到地方休息一下。

There was no place to rest.

Piāoliú de yún yě méiyǒu jiā kě huí,

漂流的云, 也没有家可回，

The drifting clouds have no home to return to.

Tiān yī yīn, jiù jí dé liú yǎnlèi.

天一阴，就急得流眼泪。

When the sky is cloudy, it becomes so anxious that it cries.

  Wǒ yǒu yīgè wēnnuǎn de jiā,

我有一个温暖的家，

I have a sweet home.

Jiā li yǒu bàba hé māmā.

家里有爸爸和妈妈。

There are father and mother at home.

Wǒ zài bàba māmā shēnbiān,

我在爸爸妈妈身边，

I am with my parents.

Kuài kuàilè lè dì cháng dà.

快快乐乐地长大。

Grow up happily.
