Jill has worked and published for more than 30 years in the areas of natural-language processing, cognitive architecture, human-computer interaction, and autism and language. In her most recent position as a Senior Research Scientist at Disney Research's Pittsburgh lab, she led teams focused on multimodal, language-based HCI and HRI with children, and agent-directed learning of dialogue behaviour. Jill is broadly interested in understanding and accommodating human language behaviour, and continues her work on language-based interaction both through consulting and collaboration with colleagues in Carnegie Mellon's Human-Computer Interaction Institute.
