Summary:
There are two systems of thinking: system one is our intuition which is fast and help us do things in most of the time; system two is our logic thinking which is slow and takes a lot of effort. Whenever it is possible, people tend to use system one to make decision. If we are more sensitive to situations when we fully trust our system one, then we can possibly avoid some decision mistakes.
My takeaways:
People are not rational. People’s decisions are easily affected by emotion.
People tends to simply complicated decisions/questions to “if I like it or not”.
People usually don’t learn (change decision) from statistics numbers. They learn more from specific examples.
People’s decision are often made by intuition and can differ from time to time. But every time they can tell you why they made that decision.
People feel more pain of losing than the pleasure of gaining. By changing your frame from gaining to avoid losing, people will think your topic is more important.
