Chief Peshewa Society was organized on November 22, 1996 in Howard County Indiana. The organization was a special project of Cynthia Stout who was the chapter regent at the time. The society was sponsored by the General James Cox Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. The Society was organized with 12 members. The special event was held at the Kokomo Shrine Club. The Society was very pleased to have the Mayor of Kokomo, the Honorable James Trobaugh bring greetings. The Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard lead the processional and recessional. This society officially disbanded in 2024.
