It might seem like Chico is just a small town with nothing to do, but if you're here visiting, you might as well make the most of it!
Right next to campus, the Chico History Museum is all that it lives up to be! It will expand your knowledge of our gorgeous city and give you insightful, fun, facts on the history of Chico. If you've never been here and you have the time to visit, this is a fun activity you might have to stop by and check out.
Close enough to walk, but also a short and comfortable drive, the Museum of Northern California Art (MONCA for short) is always a great option for visitors. Our ensembles on campus have hosted an end-of-year banquet at this gorgeous venue, and the art is very impressive.
This one is a little out of the way, but if the weather is nice, taking a walk around Bidwell Park never disappoints! Although there was a lot of devastation from the recent fires, Bidwell park is still just as gorgeous as ever! There are multiple places to visit along this vast State Park, there's options like Sycamore pool, hiking, short walks, and scenery to sit and observe.
For alumni or first time visitors alike, there's always the fabulous option of taking a walk around campus. Whether it be a trip down memory lane or your first time observing the treasure that Chico State has to offer, we hope you enjoy your time in Chico.
Of course there is so much more to do in this vast city, and if this page hasn't been helpful enough, feel free to check out this link right here:
