What is Happening at the Chickasaw Event Center?
"Happy April, Friends! As the Iowa landscape finally begins to green up, the energy here at the Chickasaw Event Center is just as fresh. We are officially stepping into spring with full hearts after a record-breaking March. Whether you're here for your morning coffee or planning your next big adventure, we are so grateful to be your community home."
We want to extend a huge Thank You to everyone who made our March events such a success!
Mickey Bell Live: Our 7:00 PM concert was filled with incredible laughter! It was wonderful to see so many of you at the VIP Pizza Party meeting Mickey and Daren. We are already looking forward to next year’s annual comedy show!
Sponsors: A huge thank you to Vern Laures Auto Center for their generous sponsorship, 95.1 The Bull for spreading the word, and Brad Schwickerath at Rapid Printers for his help with flyers and tickets.
Volunteers: Jake & Brittany Rasing, Karen Schwier, Judy Roberson, Kimber Dungey, Cora Lynch, Sydney Laures, Ella Wassenaar, Kim Berns, Paul Pickar, Spencer Schwier, and Jim & Marilyn Mihm.
5th Annual Irish Stew Dinner: We served up dozens of bowls of our traditional stew on March 26th. Whether you dined in or used our carryout option, your support keeps our community programs running strong!
Special Thanks to: Chip & Darlene Schwickerath, Gail & Susie Bierman, Paul & Janet Pickar, Jr & Marilee Mai, Lynn & Linda Schwickerath, Thrivent Financial, Merlyn Hansen, Greg & Tammie Gitch, Pete & Dixie Zeien, Tony & Janet Schwickerath, Dave & Sandy Jaschen, Shorty & Joyce Shatek, Colin Wilson, Marsha & Tim Angell, Judy Roberson, Karen Schwier, and our wonderful Coffee Ladies & Card Players.
Because of you—our community—attending our events and supporting our programs, we are able to keep the CEC alive and viable for many years to come. Your support is an investment in this facility!

Biltmore Estates (Sept 27 – Oct 2): Experience the elegance of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the historic Vanderbilt mansion. We have filled our bus, BUT! That doesn’t mean you can’t be put on our waiting list; never know…some have to cancel due to personal reasons.Â

A quick reminder that our $10,000 Double Your Impact Challenge is still active! If you are 50 or younger, your donations for building improvements are matched 1-for-1. Let’s finish those kitchen pantry and lighting upgrades together!
