The Law RFC Turns 5!

Chicago's own law team continues the legacy of rugby-playing lawyers.

Did you know an all-lawyer club helped found the sport of rugby? Formed in London in 1870, the original Law Club was a founding member of the first Rugby Football Union established a year later in 1871. During its illustrious run the club helped codify the game of rugby and produced 3 English Internationals! Sadly the Law Club folded in 1874 lasting only 4 seasons.

While we can't claim to have produced international-calibre players or written the laws of rugby (yes, they're called laws not rules thanks to the Law Club) we've done something the Originals never managed... We turned 5!!!

Come out this Saturday and help our club celebrate its milestone birthday as we kickoff our 5th Anniversary season next week!
