I am a Theoretical Physicist. I lead my research group funded by the MISU FNRS grant "Pushing Horizons in Black Hole Physics" at Université Libre de Bruxelles.
I did my undergraduate studies at Padova U. (Italy) and I got my PhD at Utrecht University (NL)
I was a Postdoctoral scholar at Columbia University in the city of New York, KITP UC Santa Barbara (USA), Amsterdam University and a Marie Curie research Fellow at Harvard U. and Milano U.
I received the Laura Bassi Prize (2014) for Scientific production from SIF (Societa' Italiana di Fisica). I was a Member of the National panel of 6 organizers of the series of conferences "Avogadro meetings" (2018-2021)
I co-organized the "Supersymmetric Black Holes, Holography and Microstate Counting" workshop (October 2022) at Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, and the "Black holes, holography and de Sitter spaces" workshop at UniMi (January 2025)
I am one of the founding members of the Pollica Physics Centre
