I am a researcher at the Institute of Computational Linguistics "A.Zampolli" ILC - ItaliaNLP Lab at the CNR in Pisa.
I received my PhD in Digital Humanities at the University of Genoa. During my PhD, I worked on applying Computational Linguistics and NLP techniques to the manual annotation and automatic extraction of prerequisite relations from textbooks. Before that, I received both my BA and MA in Digital Humanities from the University of Pisa.
I'm interested in Computational Linguistics and Language Technologies. At the moment I'm working on automatic prerequisite learning from educational texts, linguistic typology and information extraction from texts.
My PhD thesis has been published as a book with Edizioni ETS Pisa: Check out my volume here!
I won the `Premio della Scuola di Scienze Umanistiche' of the University of Genova (ed. 2022) for my PhD thesis.
Check the LANGLEARN website, the EVALITA 2023 shared task on Language Learning Development.
I won the "Small Grant AIUCD 2022" with a project on building educational resources annotated with prerequisite relations.
My PhD thesis "From Texts to Prerequisites. Identifying and Annotating Propaedeutic Relations in Educational Textual Resources." is available here!
