About me
I received my PhD in Astronomy in 2023 under the supervision and collaboration of Professor Enrico Maria Corsini and Professor Victor Debattista from the University of Central Lancashire. The main goal of my PhD is to study the structure and dynamics of barred galaxies, from an observational and theoretical point of view.
I won an open Postdoc position in Astronomy at the Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte to work with Dr. Enrichetta Iodice, staff astronomer at the Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte, on the ESO large program entitled “Looking into the faintEst WIth MUSE" (LEWIS). The aim of this project is to study a sample of 30 ultra-diffuse galaxies (UDGs) in the Hydra I cluster of galaxies by characterising the stellar kinematics, stellar populations and globular clusters' properties. I am leading the study of stellar kinematics and dynamics in the LEWIS project.
Galaxies are my main topic of research. I am interested in the dynamics, formation, and evolution of bright barred galaxies as well as for extreme low-surface brightness galaxies.
