I am a professor at the Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taipei, Taiwan. Prior to NCCU, I was an assistant professor at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. I received my PhD from the Department of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis. 

My research focuses on international political economy and non-traditional security issues, especially terrorism and energy. I have published in journals such as British Journal of Politics and International Relations, Energy Research & Social Science, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, and The Review of International Organizations. 

During my free time, I enjoy cycling, hiking, and traveling.
