CHI meta-projects champion inclusivity, encouraging contributions across disciplines and viewpoints while preserving the outcomes of individual goals. Participation is voluntary, fostering curiosity-driven engagement. Meta-projects are designed to integrate activities from as wide a set of disciplines as possible, to utilize existing resources when possible, and to work within a modular environment to ensure overall project resilience. The meta-projects prioritize sustainability and intend to produce meaningful real-world deliverables. Public engagement and holistic outreach are key factors, extending the meta-projects’ influence through partnerships with external communities, institutions, and organizations to enhance both academic and societal contributions.
