FAQ
Are nail enhancements bad for my natural nails?
This is a common misconception! Nail enhancements themselves don't damage your natural nails. Damage usually comes from improper application or, more often, incorrect removal. With the right products and techniques, your natural nails can stay healthy underneath.
Do my nails need to breathe?
This is a myth! Your nails are made of keratin, which is a dead protein—just like your hair. They don't have lungs and don't breathe. This myth was often used to justify removing enhancements and getting new full sets, but it's not based on science.
How long can I go between fills?
To keep your nails strong and prevent damage, a fill is recommended every two weeks. As your nails grow, the "apex" (the thickest, strongest part of the enhancement) shifts forward, leaving your nail's natural pressure point vulnerable to breaks. While it might be possible to stretch a fill to three or four weeks, it significantly increases the risk of damage to your nails.
What are your safety protocols?
Your safety is my top priority. I strictly follow OSHA and NYS guidelines to ensure my tools and work area are thoroughly sanitized after every single client. I also use a professional ventilation fan whenever acrylic products are in use.
