Original artwork created for Cheviot’s Halloween Revival by Cheviot Resident Christopher Majewski
Halloween isn't something that just happens. It's something neighbors create together. Every decorated porch, every porch light left on, every handful of candy, and every friendly wave helps turn an ordinary evening into a neighborhood tradition!
However you'd like to participate, we'd love to have you be part of it.
Help collect donated candy (or goodies) from businesses and residents & help distribute it to participating families.
Examples:
Pick up candy donations
Organize donations
Deliver candy to families
Help spread the word throughout Cheviot.
Examples:
Deliver flyers
Hang posters (with permission)
Visit participating businesses
Encourage neighbors to register
Design the artwork for "Official Cheviot Halloween House" yard signs.
Not every home has the time or ability to decorate. Help put up simple decorations for neighbors who could use an extra hand.
Kids grow quickly and Halloween costumes are often only worn once! Let's bring neighbors together to share gently used costumes, accessories, and Halloween fun. Whether you're donating, browsing, or volunteering, you're helping make Halloween more affordable and accessible for everyone in Cheviot.
Collect & sort donated costumes
Set up a Costume Swap event (virtually or locally if there's a lot of interest)
Visit or contact Tri-State area businesses about:
Sponsoring prize for "Best Decorated Halloween House"
Donating candy
Donating decorations
Capture the magic! Take photos throughout the season that can be shared on social media, in local media and to promote next year's event.
Tell us how you'd like to help! We're always looking for creative ideas and enthusiastic neighbors.
