Help Bring Halloween Magic Back to Cheviot & the West Side
Halloween is more than costumes and candy. It's one of the few nights each year when neighbors step onto their porches, families fill the sidewalks, and children experience the simple joy of exploring their own community.
For many of us, some of our favorite childhood memories were made on Halloween. Who remembers walking from house to house, showing off our costumes, laughing with friends, and remembering "that one house" everyone couldn't wait to visit? (King size candy bars, a garage made into a haunted house?!)
We believe Cheviot can be that kind of place again.
By working together, we can create a Halloween that's safe, welcoming, and full of community spirit for every family.
🏡 It Builds Community
When neighbors participate, kids learn that they belong here and that their community cares about them.
🚶 It Gets Families Outside
Instead of spending another evening indoors, Halloween fills our sidewalks with people walking, talking, and connecting.
🎃 It Creates Lasting Memories
Long after the candy is gone, children remember the excitement, the decorated homes, and the neighbors who made the night special.
❤️ It's for Everyone
Neighborhood trick-or-treating is free, walkable, and accessible. Every child deserves the chance to enjoy a magical Halloween close to home.
👋 It Brings Generations Together
Halloween is one of the few traditions where children, parents, grandparents, and neighbors all participate together.
🌳 It Strengthens Our Neighborhood
When people know their neighbors, communities become stronger, friendlier, and more connected—not just on Halloween, but all year long.
✨ It Brings Back the Magic
Sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones: a child proudly showing off a costume, a bowl full of candy, porch lights glowing, and streets filled with laughter.
Every porch matters.
Whether you hand out candy, decorate your home, volunteer your time, donate supplies, or simply encourage a neighbor to participate, you're helping create the kind of Halloween children will remember for years to come.
Together, we can revive Halloween in Cheviot—one porch at a time.
