If you are looking for a way to destroy the Scandinavian defense you have come the right place! In this crash course, you will be learning how to play a opening, more specifically, the tennision gambit, which will crush your opponents in just a couple of moves!
Do you ever play e4 for the first move as white, then get a response like this: (d5)
And you ask yourself, what am I supposed to do now? Well, I'll show you:
Yep, you saw it right: E4, D5, Nf3?! Your opponents will never see this coming! The reason why the Tennison Gambit is not common is because in the engine after Nf3 black's winning -0.62. I am still asking you to play this because it is EXTREMELY easy for your opponents to mess up. I will be showing 2 mistakes black makes in this opening and the move for white after black takes the pawn WILL ALWAYS BE Ng5.
Mistake #1
The Queen Mistake
e4 1. d5
Nf3 2. dxe4
Ng5 3. Nf6
Nc3
The move Nc3 puts another attacker on the pawn inviting black to play the move Bf5 to protect the pawn.
Adding yet another attacker to the E4 pawn asking black to move their queen and protect it.
Here is where black makes a huge mistake⬇️
And now black is toast 🍞. Cool huh?
Mistake #2
Allowing The Attack
I know I showed you what to do in this position but there is another move here for those ruthless attackers. 😉😉
Black is forced to play e6 because of the attack on the pawn. After this white will try to get his pieces out and everything white owns will barrage at black!
Afterwards, f3, cxf3, Qxf3, Nc6, Nxf7! A brilliant move by white!! Once black takes white exploits the pin on black's king and begins a strong attack.
Now white has all sorts of tricks like pushing g4 and starting a kingside attack, winning material, or even checkmating!
(Notation, 1. e4 d5
2. Nf3 dxe4
3. Ng5 Nf6
4. Nc3 Bf5
5. Bc4 e6
6. f3 exf3
7. Qxf3 Nc6
8. Nxf7 Kxf7
9. Qxf5 Qd6
10. Ne4 Qe7
11. O-O *
Conclusion:
I hope this crash course helped you and got you some wins!
