Often at high levels of play a timer clock is used (Click Here to Learn More) and when you finish your move you tap the clock. Depending on the rules for a particular game you get so many seconds to complete your move and if you do not succeed, you will lose the game. Sometimes a game is stopped to consult rule books which have been written to cover many special circumstances. CLICK HERE to see some of these rule books.
