TERMS OF SERVICE

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Chess Tamerlane mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.
• Account Security: You may create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend, ban, or terminate your account at any time, without notice or liability, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in cheating, or disrupted the experience of other players.
The App may offer virtual items, ad-removal features, and the Workshop subscription (“Purchases”). All transactions are processed securely through Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We do not directly process or store your payment information.
The Workshop operates with three user tiers:
• Explorer (Free): 3 flow completions, 1 active Community Gallery publish slot, and basic editor features. Board size is limited to 12×12, piece types to 16, and special rules to 3.
• Craftsman — workshop_premium_monthly (Monthly Subscription): Unlimited flows, unlimited publish slots, all advanced board/piece/rule/tool features, and 500 in-game coins awarded every month.
• Legacy — workshop_premium_yearly (Annual Subscription): Includes everything in the Craftsman plan; 500 in-game coins are awarded every month while the subscription is active.
Free tier limits may be adjusted with prior notice. Current pricing is always displayed in the relevant app store.
• Subscription fees are charged to your app store account on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• The renewal charge is applied 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You may manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings.
The following conditions apply in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation, including applicable EU/EEA digital service regulations:
iOS (Apple App Store) Users:
• Your purchase is subject to Apple’s media sales terms. Refund requests must be directed to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Apple provides limited withdrawal rights for digital content in certain countries, including EU member states. Please refer to Apple’s Media Purchases Terms for details.
• We do not have the ability to issue refunds for iOS purchases.
Android (Google Play) Users:
• Google Play’s standard refund policy applies to subscriptions. You may request a refund through Google Play within 3 days of the initial purchase.
• Purchases of coins, themes, or other consumable/permanent items are classified as digital content and are generally non-refundable, subject to mandatory legal requirements.
• Refund requests can be submitted at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
General Rule:
All in-app purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected and cannot be waived by contract.
• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Chess Tamerlane.
• Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → Chess Tamerlane.
• After cancellation, you retain access to premium features until the end of the current billing period, after which your account automatically reverts to the free Explorer tier.
• Cancellation does not entitle you to a pro-rated refund for the current period (except where mandatory law requires otherwise).
Purchasing virtual goods (in-game coins, themes, piece sets, avatars) grants you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use them within the App. Virtual goods have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash under any circumstances.
Monthly Coin Bonus: Active Craftsman or Legacy subscribers receive 500 in-game coins every 30 days for as long as the subscription remains active. This bonus is tied to the subscription; it stops if the subscription expires or is cancelled. No refund is issued for bonus coins that have not yet been awarded at the time of cancellation.
When participating in online multiplayer features, leaderboards, or community rooms, you agree not to:
• Use third-party software, bots, hacks, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage (cheating).
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
• Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate usernames.
• Intentionally disconnect to manipulate rankings or stats.
We reserve the right to reset leaderboard data or ban players found to be in violation of these rules.
⚠ By submitting content to the Community Gallery, you agree to the following strictly enforced rules:
• Zero Tolerance Policy: There is absolutely no tolerance for objectionable content. You may not publish variants containing offensive language, hate speech, explicit material, or references to illegal acts.
• License: By publishing a variant, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, and modify your content within the App.
• Flagging & Blocking: Users may flag/report inappropriate content and block abusive users within the App.
• Moderation: We reserve the right to review, remove, or delete any User-Generated Content at our sole discretion, without prior notice. Users who upload objectionable content will face immediate account suspension or permanent bans.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (excluding User-Generated Content), including but not limited to its source code, AI engine, graphics, UI/UX design, animations, and audio, are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App without our explicit written permission.
The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from bugs or server outages. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chess Tamerlane and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of progress, server downtime, or inability to access your account, arising out of or related to your use of the App. This limitation does not affect your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or by updating the date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Your mandatory local consumer protection rights are preserved and cannot be limited by any provision of these Terms.
