Mike Devine - Head Coach 

Coach Devine was named the Cheshire HS head coach in the summer 2019. Coach Devine was a 2009 & 2010 CT HS All-SCC, 2009 Super Jr, 2010' 1st Team All-State 2010 and 2010 CT State Champion. After playing at Cheshire High, Coach attended Eastern CT State University 2011-2014, where he was a 4X All-Little East Conference Awardee, 3X All-American, 2012 LEC Player of the Year, 1st Team all ECAC & 1st Team all New England 2x. 

Prior to being the Head Coach in Cheshire, Coach Devine was at Eastern CT University as a Grad Assistant in 2015. After from 2015-2019 he became a Co-Offensive Coordinator here in Cheshire and helped coach a Class L State Finalists in 2017 and was the Class L and CT Assistant Coach of the Year Award Winner that same year. Coach Devine has coached numerous All-State and All-SCC players and 4 All Americans at his time here in just 3 years. Also has helped many of our current and past players get recruited into college. In Coach Devine's first year in 2021 he was named SCC Division 1 Coach of the Year as well in 2023. Also 2023 and 2024, Coach Devine was named Class M Coach of the Year & US Lacrosse CT State Coach of the Year.

In addition to Coaching at Cheshire, Coach Devine is the current Director of 2Way North and coaches the 2032 team. 

Coach is currently a Health and Physical Education Teacher and Department Head at Cheshire High School.

Quincy Pecora - Defensive Coordinator/Varsity Assistant Coach/Strength & Conditioning Coach

Coach Pecora joined the staff in the Winter of 2019. Coach Pecora was a standout player at both North Haven High School and the University of Connecticut. At North Haven he was a 2012 2nd team all SCC player, 2013 1st team All-SCC and All-State and team captain at North Haven. At UConn, he was a 2x Captain, 2017 2nd Team All Conference and finished off his playing career as a 2nd Team All-American. In Coach Pecora's first year with the Rams in 2021 and 2024 he was honored with CT Assistant Coach of the Year Honor! 

 In addition to coaching, Coach Pecora is a certified strength and conditioning coach. He was the strength coach at Notre Dame of West Haven from 2019-2020. He currently runs our off-season program in the fall and winter. Coach brings a ton of energy and experience to the staff and we are excited to have him in our program. 

In addition to coaching at Cheshire, Quincy is a 2Way North coach helping with the 2028 team.

Brian DePodesta - Varsity Assistant Coach 

This is Coach DePodesta's fourth year with the Rams. Prior to Cheshire High School, he had worked with Fairfield Warde as a defensive assistant. Coach DePodesta has a wealth on knowledge and experience to help our players here in Cheshire. We are excited to have him on the staff for the 2021-2022 season! Coach DePodesta currently lives in Cheshire with his wife and kids. He is a Health and Physical Education teacher in Fairfield, CT. 

Sal Delucia- Junior Varsity Head Coach 

Coach Delucia starts his fourth season in 2024 with the Rams. Sal was a Cheshire graduate in 2016, where he was Long Stick Midfielder & Captain for the Rams. After Cheshire High School, Sal went onto the University of Connecticut where he earned a degree in Economics and also played on the club lacrosse team. Coach Sal has been working with the Cheshire Youth program the last 5 years and has done a tremendous job with them! Excited to bring on an alumni to help mold our high school players!

Chris Faherty - Varsity & JV Assistant Coach

This is Coach Faherty's fourth season working with the Rams. Coach Faherty will be working with the Faceoff players and goalies. Prior to Cheshire High School, Chris was a player at Hamden Hall and played club lacrosse with Coach Pecora at the University of Connecticut. We are excited to welcome Coach Faherty to the staff. 

Rich Pulusciano - Freshmen Head Coach 

Four-time CT Coach of the year 2001/2002/2010/2017, Cheshire HS Varsity Head Coach from 1998-2019, CHSCA Gatorade Coach of the Year 2002, National Coach of the Year 2002 & 2017. Coach P was honored as the 2018 US Lacrosse CT Coach Of The Year and a finalist for the US Lacrosse National Coach Of The Year.  Coach P and his Rams were 2002 & 2010 CT HS State Champions and he is responsible for placing 200+ student-athletes into college.  Cheshire HS & Dean College Hall of Fame. Springfield College Goalie. This will be Coach P's third season as the freshmen Head Coach. Coach P is currently a Health and Physical Education teacher at Cheshire High School. 

Rob Hoynes - Freshmen Assistant Coach  

Coach Hoynes rejoins the staff after a short two-year break. Coach Hoynes has been heavily involved in both the boys and girls youth program here in Cheshire. Coach was apart of the staff in 2017 where his son Tim was an attackmen. Coach Hoynes played at Yorktown High School & The United State Military Academy at West Point. After his College playing days, he went on to play pro for the Philadelphia Wings. Coach Hoynes brings a ton on lacrosse experience to our program and we are excited to have him on staff.

Coach currently lives in Cheshire with his wife Trish and four kids.
