In Fall 2024, Dr. Chenshu Liu joined the faculty at Lehigh University as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Cell Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences! We will be recruiting at all levels, including a Research Technician, Graduate Students, and Undergraduate Students!

Nov 21, 2024: Chenshu’s postdoc paper with Abby Dernburg went online in Science! WOO-HOO!


Dec 5, 2024: as part of the course BIOS397/431 (Frontiers in Reproductive Cell Biology), Chenshu hosted Dr. Rita Jones from Office of Inclusive Excellence and Belonging at Lehigh University, to give a guest seminar to explore the interplay between reproductive cell biology and society. We learned so much!


Dec 18, 2024: Chenshu will co-chair the #Meiosis4Eva Special Interest Subgroup at Cell Bio 2024 with Soni Lacefield and Needhi Bhalla!


Dec 18, 2024: Chenshu gave a talk at the "Biomolecular condensation and organelle plasticity" Subgroup at Cell Bio 2024, and an invited seminar at Cellular and Molecular Medicine, UC San Diego!

June 2025: The Liu lab is grateful to receive the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award from the ORAU (Oak Ridge Associated Universities). This one-year award will support our early pilot studies to explore nuclear envelope dynamics in meiosis!


July 2025: The Liu lab is grateful to receive the R35 MIRA Award from the NIH (NIGMS). This award will support our long-term goal to understand the mechanisms and roles of nuclear envelope dynamics in meiotic quality control!
