Born in 2004 in Taiwan, Chen Wen-Yin is a creator whose practice originates from the body and consciousness. Her artistic work spans theater, photography, and installation art.

Her creations explore the connections between human emotions, spiritual experiences, and states of being, attempting to convey those ineffable sensations and flows of energy through theater, visual imagery, and installations.

She believes that art is a spiritual practice—not merely a form of expression, but a way for energy to be transformed and released. For her, creation is not about delivering conclusions, but about allowing questions to be seen in another form.

She holds that the meaning of art lies in returning to the dialogue between body and soul, through which we can rediscover what it truly means to be alive.

I am naturally curious about many things: spirituality, photography, installations, the body, sound… Anything that lets me feel energy or evokes a reaction, I want to experience with my own hands. I often make small works and update my Instagram, documenting the inspirations and little moments of beauty in my everyday life.

My pace of life leans towards “play and feel.” I enjoy this way of living and hope to always maintain a sense of sensitivity, openness, and joy toward the world.

I love experiencing different ways of life, especially learning and living together with a group. The exchange, mutual influence, and sharing of stories with others is, for me, the most precious thing.

I enjoy meeting people who are different from me and always approach new lands and cultures with curiosity and respect. Those differences and unfamiliarities make the world more interesting and become the nourishment for both my creations and my life.
