Dr. Mingyuan Chen

Mingyuan Chen is an assistant professor in the Department of Nanoscience & Biomedical Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Auburn University (2023). Before joining South Dakota Mines, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan (OCM group). His research expertise and interests include Quantum and Emerging Materials, Nanophotonics, Near-field Optics, Optoelectronic, and Quantum devices.
