FRI 4/26: Intro VSEPR, Electronegativity Chart and VSEPR Notes ; Show VSEPR simulation - pHet  and Molview.org; VSEPR Chart & modeling building - Columns 3 & 4 ; Pass out Polarity HW to be used with Polarity Video

HW:  1. Read Pg 402 -405: EN & polarity ; 2. Watch and take notes Polarity Video

MON 4/29: [SUB] Watch Shapes of molecules determine the polarity of the molecule Video ;  IMF Video with demos ; Finish drawing molecules for the VSEPR Chart; Discuss how shape determines polarity using Electronegativity Chart ; Work on Column 5 of VSEPR Chart ; Begin work on Lewis Dots Packet

HW: 1.  Finish VSEPR Chart Column 5 [Identify how many polar bonds and nonpolar bonds.  Then identify whether the molecule is polar or nonpolar by being able to draw the partial negatives and partial positives.] ; 2 Continue Lewis Dots Packet


TUE 4/30: [SUB] Bond Polarity - Review Polarity and Intermolecular Forces Slides and work on Chemical Bonding Worksheet. Continue any work from previous days.

HW: 1.  Read Pressure vs Volume Lab: Complete Lab Prewrite on your own paper.


WED 5/1: Review Bond Polarity ; Gas Pressure units/conversions ; Review and Collect data for P vs. V Lab ; Graph data, STOP after you plot the points ; Discuss P vs. V Lab graph shape: Compare to Graph Types Image,  How to manipulate to make straight line/ Make Table 2 for Pressure and 1/Volume

HW: 1. Graph P vs 1/V graph, find slope and write the equation of the line  ; 2. Prewrite for P vs. T Lab


THUR 5/2: Review P vs. V lab ; Collect data for P vs T lab in small groups & graph data ; Temperature of Kelvin and what it means

HW:  1. Finish your P vs T lab: Solve for the temperature when pressure of air is 0. KPa ; 2. Finish your P vs V lab ; 3. Gas Stoichiometry:  Reading on Ideal Gas Law: pg. 458-464 in textbook


FRI 5/3: [SUB] Finish and submit both P vs V and P vs T Labs Together ; Read and review notes: Gases ; Work on Combined Law Problems

HW: 1. Optional: Watch Derive the Combined Gas Law ; 2. Finish Combined Law Problems
