student expectations

When taking any Culinary Arts class and/or Restaurant Management class, there are certain student expectations which must be adhered to. Below are a list of student expectations.

Student and Class Expectations

1) Be respectful

2) Clean up properly after cooking

3) Help your other teammates

4) Pay attention and remain focused

5) If you need help ask your teammates first, then the teacher

6) Participate in all activities

7) Keep your hands to yourself

8) Focus on priorities

9) Follow instructions

10) NO horseplay

11) Everyone has their own job roles - follow these roles

12) Follow teacher’s expectations

13) Be sanitary (ALWAYS use a hair-net and apron/chef coat)

14) ALL long hair must be tied back completely, for lab days

15) ALL students must wear a T-shirt and close-toed shoes for lab days (non-negotiable)

16) NO phones in the kitchen during labs

17) Do not be late

18) Wear appropriate clothing in the kitchen and look professional

19) Bring the essentials for class everyday (including earphones/earbuds)

20) Work hard and push your limits

21) Don't cross contaminate

22) Stay organized

23) Always chew with your mouth closed

24) Don't judge others

25) Have fun!!
