Chef Clown Man is a lover of fun, food, and friends. He is an acclaimed chef at local fast food restaurant the Town Café, and is known for his amazing clowning skills as well. Clown Man's best friend is John Johnny Johnson, his neighbor and the person most often annoyed by his antics. Chef Clown Man loves soda company Diet Dr. Cola, science fiction show The Meat Rangers, and anything else that could be considered fun or silly. He is friends with almost everyone in the town, and his food has reached a practically legendary status. Clown Man always wears his red and blue clown suit and his chef's hat, and often finds a way to be wherever John Johnny Johnson is.
Chef Clown Man's best friend is his neighbor, an ordinary citizen and a worker at the office named John Johnny Johnson. He is often annoyed with Chef Clown Man, and occasionally even seems to dislike him, but is not afraid to show that he actually does care about the clown. He is also usually weirded-out by the strange friends that Clown Man has, but often ends up getting along with them well enough in the end. Johnson enjoys The Evil Darkness, a dark television show, action movies, and just relaxing. Though he may seem cynical, he has a good heart. He has known Clown Man for years, and has stuck with him through everything.
Dr. Father Daddy is an intelligent scientist who lives in the same town as Chef Clown Man and John Johnny Johnson. He first met the two when Clown Man forced Johnson to volunteer with him to be test subjects for some of Daddy's experiments. Dr. Daddy is supremely confident in his abilities, and is possibly smarter than Clown Man and Johnson put together. He is an exceptional mathematician and inventor, and is almost certainly the most intelligent character in the show. Having already invented complex machines, intelligence formulas, and even a teleporter, Dr. Daddy is still always working on something new.
Oscar Smith, an architect, is a neighbor to Chef Clown Man and John Johnny Johnson, but he isn't exactly proud of that (his main reason for the specific location was the price). He is quite a bit more "normal" and reserved than Clown Man or Johnson, and has little patience for their arguments, their odd friendship, or Clown Man's childish antics. Oscar can handle Johnson on his own, but put in Clown Man and he'd rather be away from the two. Though he always seems to wear a shirt with a stripe in the middle, he's surely the least odd and zany of the show's characters - usually, his involvement in an adventure is not his choice.
Mr. Worksworth, first name unknown, is the owner of the office where John Johnny Johnson works... but he isn't your typical boss. His life revolves around local sports team the Meaters, and his personal office is filled with merchandise and other objects relating to the team. In fact, the reason Worksworth hired Johnson in the first place was that the Meaters were also his favorite sports team! His oddness doesn't end there: much to the frustration of Johnson, he shares many strange fascinations with Chef Clown Man. But despite these unusual characteristics, he and Johnson get along well, and Worksworth is always willing to help both Johnson and Clown Man.
Mr. Town is the boss of the Town Café, or at least of the branch Clown Man works at. He is mostly your typical boss, generally focusing on getting work done while around his workers . While he enjoys a personal life as well - he is implied to watch The Evil Darkness - Town focuses much of his life on selling Townburgers and Diet Dr. Cola. He is an important part of the restaurant, playing as diverse roles as hiring employees and selling food along with presumably many other tasks. Town may not be on first name terms with Chef Clown Man, but he certainly respects the clown - after all, how else would his restaurant make such high-quality Townburgers?
Coolness Coolfingers is a rad, groovy, and totes freakin' far out sorta guy. Wearing sunglasses, a leather jacket, jeans, and slicked-up hair, he thinks very highly of himself, and less highly of almost everyone else... after all, they just ain't cool. Coolfingers is interested in whatever is cool, spending his days at places like the Town Café, the movies, and in-style concerts. He is never afraid to show he's better than people, including Clown Man, provided he thinks they're less cool than him. And being Coolness Coolfingers, that's usually exactly what he thinks. He's usually smiling, but in most cases he's probably laughing at you, not with you.
The owner of the Diet Dr. Cola company is the greedy Dr. Julius Cola. He is obsessed with making as much money as possible, and will stop at nothing to do this, usually by selling as much Diet Dr. Cola as he can. Dr. Cola is idolized by Chef Clown Man, who is oblivious to his horrible personality, though John Johnny Johnson knows better than to trust him. Dr. Cola has no interests besides his company, which he devotes his entire life to. He is always trying to come up with a new moneymaking scheme, and will involve anyone and everyone who is unfortunate enough to come into contact with him. He is never to be trusted, despite the delicious cola that he makes.
Mayor McMichaels loves the town that he runs. He wants to make it the best possible place, and will do almost anything to achieve this. Though rash in many of his decisions, McMichaels usually tries to do what's right, even when faced with large obstacles. He believes that Chef Clown Man is nothing more than a troublemaker; after all, the clown has been a pest to him for many years. Still, McMichaels only interferes with Clown Man's activities if he thinks he is harming the town. Overall, the Mayor is quite the complex character: he is a good man who wants all of the occupants of his town to live fulfilling lives, yet he is also every bit a politician who cares about his approval ratings.
Gretchen Miller is one of John Johnny Johnson's coworkers at the office where he works. She gives a whole new meaning to the word "workaholic," and doesn't even seem to have a life outside of her job. Gretchen is strict, bossy, and obviously extremely hardworking. Even her boss, Mr. Worksworth, is probably afraid of her! Gretchen is obsessed with doing everything perfectly, and tends to blame any mistakes that occur on others. She hates recreation and fun, so it is ironic that one of the only other people she gets along with is Chef Clown Man; she admires his dedication to his job at the Town Café. Gretchen is really a very intense person.
The professor and teacher of ancient history at Town University is Frank McStein. Though he does have a genuine passion for history, he also happens to be a big fan of comic books, science fiction, and a lot of other things that would be considered geeky by most. This is something that he shares with Chef Clown Man, so it is no wonder that they became fast friends. McStein always tries to be kind and friendly to everyone, and is always willing to help Clown Man or give him advice. He is extremely knowledgeable in a plethora of both obscure and not-so-obscure topics, and is happy to share this information with others.
Madame Winifred Wilkinson is one of the most prestigious food critics in the entire town. She is a polite and proper connoisseur of food and beverages, though she can occasionally be a bit snobbish. If anything has to do with eating, then she's interested, whether it's something as large as a cooking contest or something as minor as a local lemonade stand. She is a noted fan of Chef Clown Man's cooking. Wilkinson is not afraid to be honest when she doesn't like something, but she is never unnecessarily mean or cruel. If anyone wants to learn how their cooking is viewed by others, then Winifred Wilkinson is definitely the person to ask.
This horrifying villain is Chef Clown Man's greatest, albeit only, enemy. Fredrick the Evil Clown first met Chef Clown Man years ago, when the two were at Clown School together. However, Clown Man got a higher grade than him on their final exam, and Fredrick, feeling that he deserved the best score, swore revenge. He will go to any lengths to humiliate Clown Man, and although he has failed so far, Fredrick's sheer determination means that he will not rest until he finally gets the vengeance he craves. Though he may not seem too threatening at first glance, Fredrick the Evil Clown has many terrifying and dangerous tricks up his sleeve, which he will never hesitate to use against Chef Clown Man.
Top row, left to right: Food Truck Chuck, Gas Station Jason, Arcade Andy, the Vending Machine, Bowling Alley Sally. Bottom row, left to right: Movie Theater Martha, Restaurant Ralph, Captain Cola, Stadium Sam, Supermarket Sarah. This fictional team stars in cheesy, kiddie cartoon Captain Cola and the Soda Squad, a series which Chef Clown Man loves but Johnson rather dislikes. The entire series exists to sell Diet Dr. Cola, so the show's adventures tend not to be particularly well-written, well-acted, well-drawn, or well-animated. Captain Cola and his team fight villains whose primary evil is disliking Diet Dr. Cola, and they always use the soda to help them save the day.
