James Bond is an important male archetype from my youth. Men want to be him & women want to be with him. He's the ultimate male fantasy. People don't talk much about Bond's gay fans, maybe because that would upset their delicate sensibilities, or maybe they're just homophobic. But you see, if you're a beautiful man or woman, you're going to get all kinds of people attracted to you, straight And gay.
A friend of mine gets hit on a lot by gay guys. He's straight, & he doesn't mind. He uses it to his advantage, & I guess he sees it as a compliment. And I know someone else who gets hit on by gay guys & he hates it. And I think well, this is the double edged sword of your life. You're an attractive guy, which lets you get beautiful women. But that also means you're gonna get hit on by men. The problem is that men are more aggressive, so of course more guys are gonna hit on you than women.
I guess I'm lucky I'm not attractive, & look pretty bad since I decided to rock the Jamin Franklin look. (Ben)Jamin Franklin. Because the guy I know that dated so many model types, says he went through a lot of problems & drama. It was hard to settle with one person because it was so easy for him to meet new people.
But he says it's different now. He doesn't have the energy & constitution of youth for all the drinking in the bar scene. He really wants to settle down. I hope he finds someone. He really is a nice guy.
But somehow it's just hard for me to feel bad about his problem of being able to get so many women. Anyway, I guess I AM lucky I'm ugly & girls never fell over themselves wanting to be with me. Because life was so much easier. Undistracted by women, I could concentrate on work, movies, & comic book conventions, things that are MUCH MORE FUN!!!
(Sad face, thinking, those beautiful dreams will be lost in time, like tears, in rain. Time to cry.)
