Give Back To The Amazon
Some Kohl's stores have Amazon Return Centers. They're usually at the very end of the store near their own Customer Service/Returns department. This is to entice you to look, & buy more. This is the same technique used in casinos to separate you from your money. Don't buy it. Take control. Take control of your spending.
When you return Amazon items, you get a coupon for $10 you can spend in the store, valid for 1 week. Don't be enticed into buying anything unless it's extremely close to $10. You returned an item to save money. Don't succumb to an impulse buy that will take the money away from you again. If you can keep your purchase total with tax to under $10, you've really saved because you didn't need to give them any more of your money.
Sunglasses are the only things I've found that qualify. You can buy sunglasses & essentially get them for free. Sometimes they're discounted even further at the checkout so you even have a few cents credit left in the coupon that's still good for 1 week. (wow!)
If for some reason the sunglasses aren't to your liking, you can return them to Kohl's Returns department & you'll get a Kohl's coupon in that amount good for 1 month. So now you have extra time to wait for something you really need. And in the meantime, you may get other Amazon items you can return, which will give you more Kohl's coupons that all put together will let you get something bigger, essentially for free! :)
Anything you get for free from Amazon is good. It's money away from Jeff Bozos, its CEO. Amazon's many employees get job injuries trying to fulfill impossible work quotas. The company denies them their insurance benefits & their employees have to hire lawyers to sue Amazon so they can get medical treatment.
Bozos is the archetype entrepreneur
Don't buy from Amazon or any of the big national multi-pass companies (says Lilu :) ). Support local businesses, you'll be supporting your own community, not Jeff Bozos. I'm sure he's a nice guy (Not). Just look at the Amazon logo, the arrow that's really a smirk. That's the smirk of a man who's getting rich while the less rich (his employees & everyone who uses Amazon) make him richer. Stop this madness. He doesn't care about his employees & he certainly doesn't care about you beyond the money he can take from you.
Just like us, he's stuck in a system that says the more money you make, the happier you'll be. But nothing's ever enough. To anyone. That is human nature. Keep your money for yourself. For things you really need. Jeff Bozos doesn't need any more of your money. So Don't Give It To Him.
Reject the System. Don't Buy It.
