Hello! I’m Mrs. Vollkommer, and I’m proud to be entering my seventh year teaching Physical Education at Chavez Middle School. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Credential from Cal State San Bernardino and went on to receive my Master’s Degree from Azusa Pacific University (APU).
My passion for sports is a big part of who I am—I especially enjoy volleyball and football, and I love challenging myself by competing in Spartan Races.
Chavez Athletics continues to thrive! Our soccer team is coming off its second City Title in three years, and we’ve also captured two City Championships in Boys Volleyball. This year, we’re setting our sights high and aiming to continue that success with Girls Volleyball and Boys Volleyball.
I’m thrilled to be spending this year with all of you and look forward to promoting fitness, teamwork, and school pride!
I’m proud to be entering my second year as the head coach of our volleyball program. Last season, our team made history by winning their third City Championship—a reflection of the hard work and determination we instill in our athletes.
In our sports program, we strive to teach not only the fundamentals of the game, but also the values of hard work and school pride. These qualities build strong athletes and even stronger school communities.
Outside of coaching, I enjoy playing volleyball and tennis. I also have the honor of coordinating the Resplandor Festival, an annual cultural celebration hosted at Chavez Middle School.
I'm excited for another successful season ahead and look forward to seeing all our sports programs thrive.
