Hello, this is Coach Baragone, and I’m excited to welcome everyone to another thrilling softball season! I’ve had the privilege of coaching our girls’ team for the past eight seasons, and each year we continue to strive toward becoming the best softball team in the city.

Each season, we focus on a couple of key goals:

• Mastering the Fundamentals: Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, a strong foundation in the fundamentals is crucial. While middle school softball may differ from fastpitch, the core principles of the game remain the same.

• Building Character through Sportsmanship and Teamwork: Our athletes are not only learning how to play softball—they’re also learning to be respectful teammates, gracious competitors, and responsible individuals. These values help our team succeed both on and off the field.

In addition to coaching, I also serve as the Athletic Director. If you have any questions about our sports programs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to a season full of growth, competition, and team spirit.

Hello, I’m Coach West, and I’m proud to serve as the current Boys Softball coach here at Chavez Middle School. I’ve been part of the Chavez community for 18 years and have had the privilege of coaching for the past six seasons.

Being involved in our school’s athletic programs has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Working with our student-athletes, seeing them grow, and helping them reach their full potential is what I enjoy most. Chavez has some very talented athletes, and I look forward to continuing to support and guide them both on and off the field.

My expectations are simple: I ask that each player come ready to give their best effort every day. More importantly, I hope everyone understands that we are a team—and the only way we get better is by supporting and pushing each other to be our best.
