SAC Open Art Market
April 12th, 13th, & 14th, daily 12pm - 4pm
The SAC will be setting up an Art Market where you- yes, YOU- have the opportunity to sell your work!
Our next Tuesday meeting will be an open studio geared towards creating work to sell, discussing prices and product, and planning event details for the Art Market. If you are interested in selling art with us, it is highly encouraged you attend the Tuesday meeting (or shoot an email/message in the WhatsApp). It's also encouraged you bring some photos or examples of what you'll be selling!
Plans as they are;
Weather permitting we'll set up tables as needed in the Quad.
We're not expecting everyone to have enough stock to fill their own booth. Table space will be used communally (though you can have your own display for your work on the table).
If you are selling art, you are not required or expected to be present at a table the entire duration of the market. If you'd be willing to man a table some, fill out your available times through [this link].
We are considering having some of the funds from this go towards the SAC's future budget. Once we have a headcount on who is interested in selling, we'll be discussing peoples' comfort in putting some of their profit towards the club. We're planning to discuss this at the upcoming Tuesday meeting- show up and let us know!

D.I.Y. Tote Bag Night
March 7th, 6 - 8:30PM
Come join us this Friday, March 17th, from 6 - 8:30 pm in ADC room 206 to have some D.I.Y. fun! Tote bags, decorating supplies, and snacks will all be provided, and you get to take home a wicked cool bag (wow!)
Collage Night 2
February 9th, 6 - 8:30PM
Come and join the SAC for a collage making open studio in ADC room 206. Snacks and materials will be provided.
End of Semester Open Studio
Thursday, Dec 8th, 6PM - 9PM. Meeting in ADC 206
Gather together for a cozy night of art making with the SAC! We'll have space and materials provided for you to get in some end-of-semester working, chilling, and snacking.
Do you want to chill? Do you want to party? Do you need to finish an assignment, but will end up staring wistfully into the hypnotic dance of string lights? Come on down- we got you!
Live Figure Drawing Session
Sunday, Nov 6th, 6PM - 8PM. Meeting on CMU's campus.
Practice figure drawing from live models and meet the CMU art community!
Please bring your own supplies and sign up below so we know approximately who to expect.
GIANT F#*!%ING PIECE OF PAPER NIGHT!!!
Thursday, Nov 3rd, beginning at 6PM. ADC 3rd floor.
Let me lay this out for you. There's going to be this Giant F#*!%ing Piece Of Paper. There's going to be Art Supplies (and snacks). There's going to be Artists. Just help us f*ck up this Giant F#*!%ing Piece Of Paper.
The final creation will be hung in the downstairs of the ADC, so as much as censorship may be a barrier to personal creativity, there needs to be some level of discretion.
Collage Night
Oct 20th
Come and join the SAC in our first open studio, located in ADC 206 on Thursday, October 20th, 6-8:30. We will be using magazines and other mediums to make collages together. Snacks and materials will be provided.
