Hello and welcome! My name is Charlotte Anderson, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education (Dual Licensure) through Western Governors University.
With over 17 years of experience in the field of education, I’ve had the honor of supporting students across a wide range of ages, abilities, and emotional needs. I spent ten years as a paraprofessional in both general and special education settings, working one-on-one and in small groups to support IEP goals, sensory regulation, and academic growth. Before that, I served for seven years as a lead daycare teacher, creating nurturing, developmentally appropriate environments for our youngest learners.
My passion for trauma-informed education is both personal and professional. As a mother of three—including two children with IEPs—I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of compassionate, student-centered support. I bring this lived experience into every classroom I enter, whether I’m substituting, volunteering in early childhood programs, or working behind the scenes to keep school environments safe and welcoming.
I believe every child deserves to be seen, supported, and inspired. My goal is to become a full-time classroom teacher who not only educates—but truly advocates, regulates, and uplifts. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and the journey I’m on.
