Mother Culture

The Purpose and Vision of Evenings of Mother Culture

In dreaming up these evenings, these ideas were at the heart of it:

  • Cultivation: Mothers are people, and are worth investing into for their growth in interests, skills, ideas, relationships and more.

  • Community: Charlotte Mason educating mothers in the Phoenix area are not alone! There are many of us spread out across the Valley, and connecting with one another is a vital point in our pleasure and endurance on this journey.

  • Refreshment: In our days of pouring out, it's nice to have something to look forward to that is set aside for us. We want this to be a change of pace (which may be as good as a rest).

  • Challenge: We hope for a healthy exchange of ideas that may help refine us, as well as the possible challenge of skills and activities that we may never have undertaken on our own.

  • Sharing: There are things to be shared among us, expertise and experience to extend to others, and we hope to encourage participation in many ways. Even further, many of us spreading this feast see that there is room at the table for more, so we hope to encourage and help equip mothers who are going out and welcoming in.
