Since obtaining my Masters in Health Psychology and Psychopathology in 2020, I have been fascinated by the themes of adjustment to illness, the functioning of dyads (e.g., couples) in the face of chronic illness, particularly neurodegenerative diseases, and the experience of family and professional caregivers. I defended my PhD in July 2024 after four years of dedicated work on Dyadic processes and couple dynamics in the context of neurodegenerative diseases.
I specialised in these different topics and developed solid skills, particularly in qualitative research. During my doctoral mobility at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2023, I also worked on the link between medical empathy, emotional competencies, and professional burnout.
My clinical and research reflections have also always been fuelled by the courses I have taught, to Bachelor's and Master's students. Furthermore, as a psychotherapist, I have always had a keen interest in humanistic and emotion-based therapies. This is why I completed in 2021 the 1st Cycle of Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy (ICEEFT).
Today, I am continuing my research projects as a Post-doctoral researcher at the laboratory SCALab at the University of Lille in France. I am particularly working on controlling behaviors from caregivers when facing Parkinson's disease.
