Since obtaining my Masters in Health Psychology and Psychopathology in 2020, I have been fascinated by the themes of adjustment to illness, the functioning of dyads (e.g., couples) in the face of chronic illness, particularly neurodegenerative diseases, and the experience of caregivers. I defended my PhD in July 2024 after four years of dedicated work on Dyadic processes and couple dynamics in the context of neurodegenerative diseases.
I specialised in these different topics and developed solid skills, particularly in qualitative research. During my doctoral mobility at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2023, I also worked on the link between medical empathy, emotional competencies and professional burnout.
My clinical and research reflections have also always been fuelled by the courses I have taught, to Bachelor's and Master's students. Furthermore, as a psychotherapist, I have always had a keen interest in humanistic and emotion-based therapies. This is why I completed in 2021 the 1st Cycle of Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy (ICEEFT).
Today, I am continuing my research projects at the laboratory SCALab, at the University of Lille in France. I am particularly working on control behaviours from caregivers when facing Parkinson's disease. I also work at the Lille University Hospital Centre, supporting people diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and their families.
