Camp Activities
Lincoln and Nana (pictured), our therapy dogs, love the attention from all of the kids at camp.
Cavoc offers many different hiking trails. We love to get out and experience the beauty of the outdoors and talk along the way.
Every year, in honor my dad, we make our own personal pizzas and get to choose our toppings for lunch. They are delicious!
Each year, we do different projects in honor of those we love. One project is breaking pots and putting the pieces together.
T-Shirts in Memory of our Loved One
Our campers each get to make their own customized "Camp George" t-shirt with a photo that reminds them of the loved one they lost. Campers learn how to use the Cricuit machine, how to weed the lettering, and get a chance to use the heat press. This is a camp favorite!
By attending Camp George, children and teens will:
· Be encouraged to tell their story in a safe and welcoming environment
· Be assisted in processing their grief in healthy ways
· Be introduced to others who are experiencing similar losses
· Develop healthy coping skills
· Participate in a project to honor loved one(s) lost
Thank you to our 2024 volunteers
