At the start of the project I pitched the idea with Ronan on a rhythm game that used drums to control a car. From that point on, I designated designers to work on certain tasks that used their strengths. Zacariah was put onto grey boxing as well as working with the artists to create skyboxes. Bilal was put onto music & sound effect design and I worked on helping implement the tracks into the game, UI design as well as refining the game idea.
Later down the project the artists came in, about 2 weeks into the 4 week assignement. We prepared for this by making prefabs of basic boxes so that they could easily be swapped out for the physical assets when they were ready.
Through playtesting we gathered feedback which was then implemented into the game. One of these was that the main menu that you load into was to complicated and disorganised. With this in mind, I reworked the layout of the menu so that players mainly had the levels in front of them, with options to the side and credits on the other side. By doing this, players would still need to walk in different directions to access certain sections but they were in view that they knew where they were.
