Predictive Model on Risk Factors of Stroke – Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (Jan 2022 – Sep 2022) Click here
Objective: Identify significant risk factors that contribute to the likelihood of developing a stroke.
Role & Tools: Conducted a comprehensive analysis using R Studio and SPSS, examining variables such as age, heart disease, body mass index, hypertension, and gender. Applied techniques including Random Over-Sampling Examples (ROSE) and StepAIC for model refinement and selection.
Impact: Developed a predictive model to assess stroke risk, providing insights for preventative strategies and health risk management.
Swiss Banknote Counterfeit Detection – Logit Model Analysis (May 2022)
Objective: Identify factors contributing to the likelihood of a banknote being counterfeit.
Role & Tools: Performed Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to examine patterns in the dataset and fitted a logit regression model to predict counterfeit likelihood. Evaluated model performance using the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test.
Impact: Provided a statistically sound approach to detect counterfeit banknotes, demonstrating the practical application of logistic regression in fraud detection.
Employee Attendance Database – Environmental Protection Agency Training School, Amasaman (Nov 2021)
Objective: Replace the institution’s manual attendance system with an automated database.
Role & Tools: Designed and implemented the attendance database using Microsoft Access, including staff records, attendance logging, and reporting functions.
Impact: Streamlined attendance tracking, reduced errors, and improved administrative efficiency for staff management.
Hostel Booking Analysis – FestMan Talent Hub (Nov 2021)
Objective: Provide actionable insights from hostel booking data to support management decisions.
Role & Tools: Cleaned and analyzed the dataset, created interactive visualizations using Power BI to highlight booking trends and patterns.
Impact: Enabled management to make data-driven decisions, improving operational efficiency and understanding of customer behavior.
Effectiveness of the Mentorship Program – Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (Aug 2021)
Objective: Evaluate the effectiveness of mentorship programs across KNUST colleges.
Role & Tools: Designed a Google Form to collect survey data from students, cleaned and processed the data in Excel, and conducted quantitative analysis using SPSS.
Impact: Tested hypotheses on mentor-mentee effectiveness, providing insights into program strengths and areas for improvement.
World Restaurant Dataset Visualization – Maven Analytics Challenge (Oct 2021)
Objective: Identify cities with the best restaurant experiences based on customer ratings, food quality, and atmosphere.
Role & Tools: Cleaned and analyzed the dataset, created interactive visualizations using Power BI to highlight city-wise restaurant performance.
Impact: Provided actionable insights for Maven Analytics to understand trends in customer satisfaction and restaurant quality across different cities.
