NYPD Crime Wave 2018-2022
In light of the conversations around returning to work, subway shootings, hate crimes and a rising “Covid Crime Wave”, the project uses NYPD’s Recorded Crimes data, provided through the NYC OpenData Portal, to call into question the public’s concerns and the overall safety of the city.
Toronto or Bust?
The following presentation is a pitch deck to highlight Toronto as an ideal location for an family AirBnb. We evaluating Toronto's current AirBnb market and our possible competition - taking a closer look at median costs per neighborhood and the features/amenities of the typical Toronto AirBnb. Using this info, we establish what type of housing to purchase to maximize our profits. and other logistics (metro, popularity,etc.) we should look into as we solidify our plans.
The Story of Brooklyn
My ode to an ever-evolving and gentrifying borough, this project is an exploration of Brooklyn’s real estate market in 2016-2017 - as well as uncovering the State’s development plans to craft Brooklyn as a business epicenter. Through the data, we were able to track the major purchases in neighborhoods like Red Hook, Downtown Brooklyn and Bush Terminal in Sunset Park and link them to the NYS’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
