Our July 4th celebration has been a Charlais neighborhood tradition for over 30 years! We rely on neighbors like you to make it a reality. Planning for this event starts early, and we can use your help. Whether you've got a little time or a lot, there are many ways to help!
WANTED
CCN NEEDS HELP WITH PARADE PLANNING 2026. THE CURRENT PARADE DIRECTOR IS READY TO PASS THE BATON TO ONE OR MORE WILLING NEIGHBORS THAT WANT TO SEE THIS TRADITION CONTINUE. PLEASE REACH OUT TO BARB (503 936 6243) TO RECEIVE MORE INFORMATION.

Join the planning committee to help organize the event. Planning starts in March but welcome any help between March and the event date. The parade chair will be vacant in 2026. You can start shadowing this year if you are interested. Contact Barb at barbandvaughn@gmail.com if you would like more details.
Contact sponsors, donors, and community contributors. We complete this task before the flyer is printed. Business logos are printed on our flyer and/or displayed in the park on the day of the event.
Distribute flyers, post signs, help with set-up or clean-up. These activites happen closer to event date
at the end of June. Set-up and clean-up are on event day.
Supervise inflatables, games, activities, hand out treats on day of the event.
