The Kim research group aims to develop a platform for fabricating functional assemblies and particles and control their physicochemical properties. We will design and synthesize a library of functional macromolecular building blocks (e.g., polymers, polyphenols, peptides, proteins, DNA) and assemble them to prepare smart nano/macro-structures having diverse functionalities and structures. The current research focuses in our group are i) macromolecular engineering of organic–inorganic networks, ii) DNA block copolymer assemblies, and iii) biofunctional materials, which can be useful for materials science and biomedical applications.
