Upcoming Funding Opportunities

Great Ideas Initiative

Sometimes, a little extra money is all it takes to launch a great idea. Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County (CSC) is releasing funds (up to $40,000 per grant) to encourage local nonprofits to:

Thus, a Great Ideas Initiative project should do more than fill a gap. It should be driven by the wants and needs expressed by families and communities. It should be an innovative new idea, a creative enhancement to an existing project, or an opportunity to broaden the organization’s community footprint or deepen its ability to effectively carry out its mission

Ways to Get Involved

BeWellPBC, launched in 2019, is creating a movement and a mission to advance behavioral health and wellness in Palm Beach County. Our three focus areas: Stewardship Coordination & Alignment, Workforce Pipeline, and Community Solutions are united through BeWellPBC’s Lofty Goal. We envision a community in which every person in Palm Beach County feels hopeful, supported, connected, and empowered.

BeWellPBC’s mission is to bring together stewards from every corner of our community—residents, system leaders, providers, businesses, faith-based organizations, youth, and parents—to lead the change they want to see in their families, their schools, their workplaces, and their cities.

Birth to 22: United for Brighter Futures (Birth to 22) supports the healthy growth, development and education of our children and youth prenatally through young adulthood, so that they can graduate from high school and succeed in life. Committed to a common agenda, Birth to 22 is an alliance of Palm Beach County community partners that engages and aligns existing coalitions, networks, systems and youth-serving organizations, as well as connecting families, community members, and most importantly, with local young people directly. This cradle to career alliance has grown from five organizations in 2013 to over 300 in 2019.

Healthier Together began as a community-led solution to improve health disparities in diabetes, behavioral health and family caregiving in six Palm Beach County, Florida communities.Launched by Palm Health Foundation in 2014, Healthier Together puts residents at the core of developing health solutions around their own needs rather than force-fitting a system that doesn’t always recognize the complexity, culture, context and circumstances of diverse communities.  For Palm Health Foundation, Healthier Together represents a departure from traditional responsive grant-making, embracing the social determinants of health to implement a truly resident-led initiative viewed through a health equity lens.

Leadership Development

Nonprofits First, Rising Leaders Program

Leading a cause and solving complex issues takes determination, discipline, and know-how. Nonprofits First created the Rising Leaders program in 2005 to launch aspiring leaders toward their highest level of impact and success. Rising Leaders is the only local training of its kind, transforming emerging talent into the sector’s new generation of leaders.

The comprehensive eight-month experience focuses on skills needed by those who are relatively new to leading teams or managing groups of individuals. Participants learn effective strategies to handle significant leadership and organizational challenges.

The multi-session format includes an engaging variety of training techniques including panel discussions with community leaders, group exercises and stimulating activities. The Rising Leaders experience fosters interaction, discovery, dialogue and servant leadership as participants increase their skills to lead the nonprofit field.
