In the heart of Palm Beach County, a remarkable wave of change is underway. The Community Changemakers Fund (CCF) is more than just a funding initiative; it’s a testament to the power of community-driven solutions and the spirit of collaborative innovation. CCF represents a journey, co-designed by both changemakers and funders, to foster a culture of health and community-led innovation.

The journey of the CCF launched as a vibrant response to Palm Beach County's recognition by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for its Culture of Health Prize. The CCF is about weaving a network of passionate individuals, dedicated organizations, and innovative businesses. Each one is united by a common goal: to craft healthier, more vibrant communities from the ground up.

With an overwhelming response of 288 applications, the energy and dedication within our community have been nothing short of inspiring. These applications poured in from every corner of the county, showcasing a diverse array of ideas aimed at enhancing health and well-being.

Community changemakers, deeply connected to the issues they strive to solve, were integral to the review team, bringing their insights and lived experiences to the decision-making table. It is this shared wisdom that has led to the selection of 21 inspiring projects for our initial grants, part of a larger tapestry of 288 applications that each add value to our Culture of Health Network. This network is not just a community; it’s a movement where mentorship and peer connections flourish.

Supported by our seven local funders, the CCF is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together. It’s an offering to our community, by our community, where every idea contributes to the greater good.
