Summer Camp
Mentors of Change associated with Atal Innovation Mission (NITI Aayog, Govt. of India) conducted a 7-day Change Makers' Summer Camp between 15th to 30th April 2023 for ATL and non-ATL students in classes 6 to 12 and their teachers.
The Summer camp had two major components:
Digital skilling workshop
Online webinars
An online self-learning based digital skilling workshop was conducted from 15th April to 29th April 2023. Participants had the opportunity to acquire skills in up to 40 digital tools & technologies. See the list of digital skills by clicking the "Digital Skills Workshop" menu below.
In addition, 13 online webinars on various topics of relevance to ATL students were conducted between 24th and 30th April via Zoom and YouTube live sessions - with two sessions. Every day, expert mentors conducted two webinars on topics covering - mega trends shaping the world today, tinkering skills, problem-solving skills, innovating skills, entrepreneurship skills, change making skills and others. 2500+ students and teachers from 12 states of India participated in the programme and benefitted immensely from the camp. The Summer Camp was sponsored by 6 schools from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
BENEFITS FOR STUDETNS:
Students had the opportunity to acquire new skills that enabled them to face the future with greater confidence.
Students could connect with one or more Mentors and seek their guidance and support for their tinkering, innovation, entrepreneurial or change-making projects during and after the Summer Camp.
BENEFITS FOR TEACHERS:
Got broader exposure to various topics of relevance to new-age teachers and upskill themselves to teach their students better using technological tools & aids.
BENEFITS FOR SCHOOLS:
Schools got plugged into the larger eco-system of Mentors of Change from across the country with diverse skills and expertise. They were able to leverage the support & guidance of Mentors for the benefit of their students & teachers during and after the Summer Camp.
